HAIP PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Aloha Region VII Members & Hello 2025
I hope the new year is treating you well. Unfortunately, our industry is facing challenges with catastrophic losses already occurring. We plan, prepare, and persevere through these tough times, stay strong California.
A brief recap, on November 15, 2024, we held the Hawaii Council meeting at Café Julia, with RVP Terri Brennan and Council Director Jody Nishida in attendance. We inducted three new members and gave them a chance to connect with other IAIP members outside of Hawaii.
As part of the Council meeting planning, the HAIP Education Committee also organized a morning CE offering with our AI Expert, Katharine Nohr, entitled “Future Proofing Your Insurance Career: Embracing Artificial Intelligence in the Evolving Insurance Landscape”.
Our Community Relations committee organized a donation drive for the Hawaii Food Bank, raising a little over $1245.00, just in time for Thanksgiving.
That evening we had an intimate gathering at The Dotted Line Kitchen & Lounge, followed by the 1st Annual HAIP Family Fun & Field Day at Kapiolani Park on Saturday,
November 16th. Despite 50 mph winds, it was a full day of fun in the sun, networking, and food. Congratulations to Team HEMIC on winning the inaugural kickball tournament.
In December and January, we gave our Board and Committees a break. We will regroup in February for a virtual lunch-time presentation.
