Council Director Message
Happy Spring!!
This time of the year brings many wonderful beginnings. Not only did I receive my ACR designation, but Jolene Galvan also received her ACR designation along with her CLP-A designation as did many other IAIP Members.
With the change to One Member/One Vote, many new changes and protocols that needed to be addressed. A timeline has been put together to try to keep the process of elections for the 2026- 2028 Council Director, Public Relations Chair and Membership Development Chair. The election will be virtual as will the vetting of the applicants for each position.
Applications: May 1st to June 1st
Nominating Committee: Review, discussion & interview applicants - June 20 th through ___ (date to be determined by the Nominating Chair
Announcement: Email to all CA Members of Applicants by Nominating Committee - 6/25/2025 & requests for nominations from the floor until 6/30/2025. Final announcement to CA Members on list of candidates - email 7/01/2025
Meet the Candidates: 7/10/2025 (yes, a Saturday - might be easier for those who work, or this can be changed to another day or evening)
Voting: Survey Monkey or Google Survey 7/15/2025 to 7/31/2025
Tallying of Votes: Tellers to access survey to tally votes to make sure there is a quorum - 8/1/2025
Announcement of Election: 9/12/2025 during Council Meeting in San Ramon.
We are also looking forward to the Regional HUB and International Convention which are being held in Oklahoma City, OK this June. For those of you interested in attending, please be sure to register. Registration and information can be found on the IAIP website at: https://iaipconvention.com/
Everything is also in the works for the California Council meeting which will be held this year on 9/12/2025-9/13/2025 in San Ramon. Your sponsorships are needed to make this a great meeting. The host committee has sent out the registration form and we are hoping that there will be a great turnout for the meeting. Information can be found on the CA Council website at: caciaip.org/2025-ca-council-meeting. If you are interested in helping at the meeting by filling a position on one of our committees, please let me know. I will be reaching out to all members who will be attending.
