It is Renewal Time! June 2020

When your renewal date approaches you will receive notice from IAIP Membership with a copy of your invoice. You can pay directly from the link in the email or log into your profile and Renew Now. Your membership in IAIP provides so many benefits: Educational Opportunities - Networking Opportunities - Leadership Opportunities - New Member Pathway - Special Interest Communities. And of course, lifelong friendships! As members and leaders, we are passionate about our association, our industry, and our community.

“As each member approaches their IAIP renewal and wonders if they’re worth the investment, and as each employer considers the investment their employees are asking them to make in their IAIP membership, I encourage you all to look around you and know that your past investment has paid off, is paying off today, and will continue to pay off in the tomorrows to come. Through your IAIP membership you have prepared a top-quality risk management professional, and through your continued investment you will reap the benefits of that training and preparation for years to come, through each of the challenges that will confront us in the future!”
Cindy Prud’homme, AINS, CPIA, CIIP, CLP
International President

“My IAIP membership has proven itself to be the best investment I ever made in myself. Through the best of times, and the very worst of times, my fellow members were a community that reached out to me with advice, resources, love and support, not only for my career, but personal life events. Feel free to ask me about my experiences, the mentoring, industry education, leadership opportunities, and enduring friendships. All due to my membership in IAIP.”
Lauri Oakden-Binder, RWCS,CRIS,CLP,CIIP
International President Elect

“Why renew and remain a member? As Cindy so elegantly put it in one of her ‘blogs', the value proposition starts with each and every one of us. What’s important to YOU? IAIP has given me so much over the years, education, leadership skills, confidence and the inner strength and determination to conquer what ever is put in front of me. I have been a member in other associations, none of which gave me even a forth of what I have received with IAIP. We are in an industry that evolves, expands and contracts constantly. We have in this association the most valuable tool ever - fellow members; members that care; members that will reach out in a split second to help, advise, donate, share and be a shoulder or ear when needed. Our networking cannot be matched in any other group, club, or organization. We are much more than a professional association - we are family. Webster includes in its definition of family - "a group of people united by certain convictions, related in common characteristics”- that is IAIP. Someone very recently commented “we care about each other like family, sometimes even more than our real families”. IAIP members GIVE back to each other, our communities and our industry. That’s why I renew and that’s why I remain a member!”
Geraldine Plott, CPCU, FCLA, SCLA, ARM, AIC, AIS, AINS, CIIP, DAE, CLP
IAIP Vice President

“I cannot imagine IAIP not being a part of my life! I have gained so much education, professional skills, mentors and friends as a result of my membership in IAIP. IAIP non-renewal is not an option for me!”
Diane F. Martell, FCLS, CIIP, DAE, CLP
International Secretary

“I hope that you will consider renewing your membership in IAIP. This organization has been a large part of my life over the last 13 years. It has helped me in developing my leadership skills, building a network of colleagues from all over the country and life long friends. You need to make an investment in yourself and IAIP has been a great investment in my career. IAIP has a host of educational opportunities, leadership skills and networking opportunities that can assist in building upon your insurance career. If you make the investment in IAIP and get involved in the organization you won’t be sorry! I hope you choose to renew your membership.”
Tammy Wascher CIC, CIIP, CPIA, CLP, DAE
International Secretary – Elect

“Why IAIP? We need it more now that before! With our current environment, maybe you are working from home, in an office with reduced staff, or not at all (god forbid). I believe this is a time where being a member of IAIP is most beneficial. As an organization we have members that understand what we are going thru and the impact this has had on our industry and our day to day lives. We can reach out to lean on or learn from each other with laughter, tears and professionalism. In addition to member supporting each other, we also have adapted our education options to provide knowledge, self-improvement, and if needed; your individual marketability in the job market. From my perspective, working from home can be isolating, solitary, frustrating, etc. a number of adjectives that mean the same thing – sometimes lonely. IAIP is the only organization I belong to; where I know I can reach out to my fellow members with questions, ideas, or concerns and get the feedback and support we all need.”
Robin Souza, CPCU, AFIS, CIC, CRM, AIS, AINS, CIIP
RVP Region VII

“It's a fine line for some but I believe you get out what you put in. It is an investment in yourself. Yes, there is camaraderie, but that is a plus, the main thing is making connections and networking. You don't know what you have until need it. If you get a Starbucks every day and spend $3 a day, X 5 days a week, that is $15 a week. In a month you'll have $60 and two months $120 that you can put to your renewal. That is what I did. I stopped purchasing Starbucks, Coffee Bean etc. and it went into my membership jar. My membership lasts a year, my coffee? in and out! The savings was worth it.”
Christine Chandler Tillett, PHR, CLP, CRIS, CIIP
CA Council Director

“I was on a call and someone quoted Lou Holtz “Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.” The topic was who are “essential workers” and when I heard it, it reminded me of IAIP and how important preparation can be. Sometimes we don’t even know what we are preparing for but having the attitude of staying prepared can be the game changer. The courses that are offered and connections we make in IAIP helps us embody the ability, motivation and attitude to make us essential whether it be in this industry, in our community or in life in general.”
